Hey everyone! How are you today? I hope you’re good! It has been raining non-stop here in Belgium: the perfect weather to stay inside and play a game! I also wanted to have fun with you, my readers, so I came up with a game to play here! Let’s get started!
Hey everyone! Today I’m writing a bookish edition of Trick or Treat. It seemed like a fun way to get in the spirit of Halloween, (even though it’s not really celebrated in Belgium.) I’m going to talk about some books that tricked me or turned out to be a treat!
It’s time for another descend into the TBR hole! We’re nearing the end of my TBR. I can only do two more of these posts before reaching zero. As always, I’m excited to write this post!
The meme was originally created by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This is how it works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
My TBR now sits at 71 books. You can find my previous posts in this series here.
Hey everyone! Today I’m coming at you with a non-spoiler review of Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee. I read it recently and highly enjoyed it!
Welcome to Andover… where superpowers are common, but internships are complicated. Just ask high school nobody, Jessica Tran. Despite her heroic lineage, Jess is resigned to a life without superpowers and is merely looking to beef-up her college applications when she stumbles upon the perfect (paid!) internship—only it turns out to be for the town’s most heinous supervillain. On the upside, she gets to work with her longtime secret crush, Abby, who Jess thinks may have a secret of her own. Then there’s the budding attraction to her fellow intern, the mysterious “M,” who never seems to be in the same place as Abby. But what starts as a fun way to spite her superhero parents takes a sudden and dangerous turn when she uncovers a plot larger than heroes and villains altogether.
As you may know, I enjoy making aesthetics. I find pleasure in searching out photos that fit with a certain character and putting them together. When The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid came in the mail yesterday, (Yay!) I was inspired to making an aesthetic based off of Evelyn Hugo herself. Here it is! Continue reading
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done a book haul. The last one was in October if you can believe that. I’m confident I’ve now accumulated enough books to write another one! So, her’s my November through May book haul!
Hey! I finished Gemina yesterday and I highly enjoyed it. Today I’m coming at you with a non-spoiler review.
Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminaecontinues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.
