My summer reading challenge

Hey! How’s it going? It’s my birthday today and to celebrate I’m going to write about something I’m really excited about: my summer reading challenge! I’ve been in a rut since the beginning of the year and I thought this was a fun way to get me out of it! Let me show you how it works!

As you might have guessed from the shape, it’s actually a bingo! I came up with 36 different prompts and I’m hoping I’ll get a bingo at the end of summer. Should be achieveable, right? These are the prompts:
1. highest average rating on my Goodreads TBR
2. coin toss I’ll pick two books and a coin toss will decide which of the two I’ll read
3. read for a readathon
4. beautiful cover
5. short read
6. TBR veteran I’ll pick up a book that has been on my TBR pile for a very long time.
7. featuring a group of friends
8. a hyped book
9. beautiful spine
10. from a favourite author
11. LGBTQIAP+ main character
12. blue on the cover
13. recently acquired
14. audiobook
15. yellow on the cover
16. featuring a main character that’s very different from me
17. chosen by someone else
18. reread
19. contemporary
20. from my 2019 TBR
21. ugly cover
22. read only outside
23. non-fiction
24. graphic novel
25. POC main character
26. read in a day
27. poetry
28. multiple points of view
29. a book that is older than me
30. the date’s number on my TBR shelf So for example, on the 21st of June, I would start reading the 21st book on my TBR shelf.
31. about a problem facing society today
32. a play
33. from a new-to-me author
34. an award-winning novel
35. a book I’m afraid to read
36. the lowest average rating on my Goodreads TBR

I’ll be sure to update you on my progress! Feel free to join me, if you like 🙂

Thanks for reading! See you next time! Love,

  1. Happy belated birthday, Eva! I hope you had a lovely day 💛
That challenge sounds awesome, and I’d love to join, but I can tell I’ll have a busy summer and reading challenges are impossible 😭 but good luck!! 😊

  2. 1. Did you come up with the prompts yourself?

    3. I will show you a picture of my bingo that I did in my journal for 2018 (I posted a comment about my prev journal in your recent post 🙈)

I’m just soooo excited to find someone as enthusiastic about bullet journals as I am!!
