Hey, how are you? I hope you’re having a great day. If you follow the book community a bit, you might have noticed the controversy around Marie Kondo a while back. I believe she said in her new Netflix show ‘Tidying Up with Marie Kondo’ that people should reflect on the books they own and only keep those that spark joy. If a hundred spark joy, then keep a hundred. If it’s two, then keep two. You get the gist. I think it’s a lovely idea. I also try to be selective of the books I have in my collection. She also said that for her personally 30 books was the right amount to keep. That’s where the controversy started as some people thought she meant everyone should get rid of all their books but thirty. Anyway, this post isn’t about the controversy. It’s already time to wrap up the month. Can you believe that? It’s going to be a short one, though. I was in a reading and blogging rut for the most part of the month. I hope to do better in February. On a personal level, January was a great month. So don’t worry about me. Let’s get into it!
