Hey everyone! How are you doing today? I hope you’re good. I’m bringing you my December Bullet Journal set-up a bit earlier! It’s more extensive than other months, so I started preparing sooner. I also have some more end-of-year bujo posts coming up you can look out for!
I went with a festive theme this month as I love the holidays! It’s my favourite time of year 🙂
You can find all my previous bullet journal posts here for more inspiration!
This month’s cover page is decorated with houses in the snow. I cut the illustration out of a Flow magazine, because I really liked it. I tried drawing snow, but I’m not sure if I succeeded hahaha.
On the right side I made an overview of the month. I normally don’t include this, since I don’t use my bullet journal for planning. I have a lot of events in December, though. I thought it would be nice to keep an overview. I decorated the page with a little Christmas tree in the bottom corner.
Next up, there are two pages I normally include. On the left side, I have my reading spread. You’ve seen this layout many times as it’s my favourite and I like to go back to it. I wrote out a song lyric that really fits the holiday spirit to spice up the page.
On the other side you can see my blogging spread. It’s a place for me to plan out a month of blog posts, so I always have inspiration! I decorated the page with an illustration of a pretty Christmas card. I cut it out from the Flow 2016 calendar.
The next page is really fun in my opinion! I made a countdown to Christmas 🙂 I drew a stocking that I’ll colour in as the days go by.
On the left side I have a gift tracker. Here I can keep track of all the gifts I want to give. There’s a space for the recipient and for the content of the gift. The last three colomns are: bought, wrapped and given. I also included a space to write down the gifts I received. It seemed fun to look back on later. In my opinion, the gifts you receive say a lot about your interests at that moment.
Here you can see my memories page. I include one of these every month. It’s still rather blank, except for the doodle of a gingerbreadman in that corner. At the end of December, I’ll fill this pages with mementoes.
I’m really proud of how this spread turned out! For my habit tracker, I drew 31 ornaments. Every day, I will colour one in according to the things I accomplished! I’m excited to see how it’ll look at the end of the month!
Furthermore, I have an exam countdown prepared. The exam period is far from the loveliest time of the year, but having this countdown will help to lift my mood. I can colour in a box for every exam I complete. The page is decorated with a snow globe I cut out from the Flow 2016 calendar and a quote from Hagrid.
What’s comin’ will come and we’ll meet it when it does.Rubeus Hagrid
On the other side I have a ‘word of the day’ spread. I think this’ll be really fun. I subscribed to the ‘Word of the day’ from Dictionary.com. (Yes, I’m a nerd. haha) It’s a nice way to expand my English vocabulary. I decorated the page with a string of Christmas lights! I haven’t decided yet if I want to colour them in. What do you think?
And lastly, for the month of December, I have a gratitude page. The Christmas period is a really good time to reflect on all we’re grateful for and I’m excited to do just that. I drew a holly leaf to give it that festive spirit!
That’s all for this set-up! I hope you enjoyed it. It was longer than normal as I added a few fun pages. I hope you found some inspiration. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
Help me improve Brilliantly Bookish by giving me your opinion. Thanks!
