To celebrate my 2 year anniversary on this blog, I thought it would be fun to redo my very first tag: The Reading Habits tag! It’s the second thing I ever posted. Let’s see how much my answers have changed!
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
My favourite spot to read remains my bed. It’s just so cosy!
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I still love to have a stunning bookmark between my pages. It’s a piece of art every time you open your book! I don’t make my own ones anymore though.
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter / certain amount of pages?
I still prefer to stop after a chapter or scene. However, I’m fine with stopping middle-sentence now. I used to hate that.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
I drink a lot of tea while reading, but I don’t snack. If I read whilst eating, I’m eating an actual meal.
Multitasking : music or TV while reading?
NOPE. I can’t concentrate at all.
One book at a time or several at once?
I can’t remember the last time I read one book at the time, even though I used to swear by it. Between my book club, reading for school, physical books, audiobooks and ebooks, I just can’t keep to one book at a time anymore.
Reading at home or everywhere?
I used to (almost) exclusively read at home. Since switching over to ebooks for some part has helped me to read other places as well. I still prefer my own bed at home though.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently! Reading out loud slows me down so much.
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
I still don’t. However, I do have the bad habit of reading the very last sentence before I get there. Not more though, just the last sentence. I can’t explain why I do this. Usually, it doesn’t even spoil me. (That only happened once, with Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.)
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I don’t purposefully crack the spine. It does happen sometimes though.
Do you write in your books?
I don’t often do this, but I’m not against it anymore. That’s a big change.
IN CONCLUSION: Some habits have stayed the same. Others have most definitely changed. My opinions on ebooks, writing in your books and reading several books at the same time used to be so different!
That’s all. I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading! See you next time!

This is such a cute tag! I also can never just read one book at a time – there are way too many out there. I usually end up reading at least two at once. Awesome post!

Thanks 🙂 I agree! I don’t know how I used to stick to one book!
