Do you also get that feeling? Wanting to pick up a book so bad, but not being able to? Well, that’s the situation I’ve been in recently. I’m reading three books for school and I’ve started one just for fun. It’s not exactly smart to be picking up another book as I’m already stressed out. Still, I’ve been itching so bad to re-read these books. I’m hoping I can get to them soon.
Dress Codes for Small Towns by Courtney Stevens
I read this book back in April in less than 24 hours. I fell in love with it and gave it five stars! It was such a pleasant surprise as I picked it up on a whim. This book is definitely going to end up on this year’s favourites list! I adored the vibe, the characters, the friendships, the plot, the romance, the relatable messiness, etc. Everything about it really! I want to re-read this so bad and experience it again! If you haven’t read this, do yourself a favour and pick it up! 🙂
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Even though I read this fairly recently, in August, it’s very high on this list. I absolutely adored this book and would most highly recommend it! Five stars! It was entertaining, layered and heartbreaking. It had two of the best female characters I’ve read in a while. Evelyn is so interesting! I love the story and its vibe. I read this on audiobook and I’d highly recommend going that route. It’s an amazing audiobook! I just had to get my own physical copy though, and I’ve been itching to re-read it physically ever since it came in the mail.
Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
I want to experience the Lunar Chronicles universe again and spend some time with its characters. This book holds some stories that make me so happy, especially the last one: Something Old, Something New. Instead of re-reading the entire series, I just feel like picking up Stars Above. It’s shorter and I’ll give me what I crave! I can’t wait!
Kids of Appetite by David Arnold
This is set in Winter, so the perfect time to read it is coming up. Plus, it’s one of my favourite books! It’s so underrated. Go read it! I absolutely love its vibe and writing style. There are so many quotes that I love! The characters and plot are amazing. I really want to experience this story again and see where it takes me the third time around.
The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Number 5 on this list is the Illuminae Files: Illuminae, Gemina and Obsidio. I highly enjoyed all three of these books, the middle one being my favourite. I barely remember anything from Illuminae and really want to experience it a second time. It’ll be different as I’m already attached to the characters! All three of these books are so fast-paced and entertaining. I just keep flipping those pages. I really like the creative format! The characters are awesome as well.
Have you read any of these? What did you think?
