Hey everyone! I know I just posted one of these, but I was really in the mood to make another one. So here we are. I’m excited to get started! This meme was originally created by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This is how it works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
My TBR now sits at 91 books. You can find my previous posts in this series here.
Fire Colour One by Jenny Valentine
I have absolutely no idea what this is about or how it got here. Byeeeee
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
This is such a well-loved classic. I know I’ll never get this assigned in school, so I would have to read it in my free time. I think that’ll happen one day, but not anytime soon.
The Martian by Andy Weir
I have heard this is really funny and that’s the main reason I put it on my TBR. However, I have seen parts of the movie and I already know how it ends. I don’t think I’ll ever actually read this.
Everything All at Once by Katrina Leno
I’m in doubt. I’m still interested in the blurb and it reminds me of 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, which I used to love. However, I don’t know if I’m interested enough to buy it. I might give Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno a chance first.
VERDICT: KEEP (for now)
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
This sounds SO interesting and I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews. I don’t know how I’ll get access to it, but I’m not getting rid of it.
And I Darken by Kiersten White
What was I thinking?
Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee
I put this on my TBR because of the asexual representation. However, I don’t particularly care about the other aspects of the book. I have never read anything by Tolstoy nor am I wanting too.
None of the Above by I. W. Gregorio
I definitely want to pick this up. Since it’s on Scribd, I now have access to it as well.
They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
I’ve almost bought this book several times, but I’ve never actually done it. I think I always want to pick it up because of the hype, but I hold back because I didn’t enjoy the first chapter. I think I’ll read What If It’s Us by Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli first, because I know I love Albertalli’s writing. Based on what I think of that book, I’ll see what I’ll do with this one.
VERDICT: GO (How scandalous!)
The Strange Fascinations of Noah Hypnotik by David Arnold
I absolutely adore Kids of Appetite by the same author and enjoyed Mosquitoland as well. I don’t even care what this book is about. It’s by David Arnold, so I’m reading it.
VERDICT: KEEP (of course)
BOOKS KEPT: 4
BOOKS GOTTEN RID OF: 6
CURRENT TBR TOTAL: 85
What do you think? Would you have chosen differently?
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
