2018 Bookish goals // Mid-year check-in!

As 6 months of the year have already gone by, it’s time to check up on my goals for 2018! How have I done so far? Did it go well? Have I failed? Let’s see!

I want to read at least 3 new classics.

Yes! I did this. I’ve read a total of 6 classics this year, one of which I also re-read. However, this goal only counted with new-to-me classics. The Little Prince thus doesn’t count. That brings it to 5 new classics so far!

I want to read everything on my current physical TBR.

This goal is still in progress. I’ve been doing well though. Of the eight books I’ve read all but one. I still need to read Woesten by Kris Van Steenbergen and to be honest, I don’t even know if I still want to. We’ll see what happens in the next six months!

I want to participate in 2 readathons.

Another goal that I’ve already achieved! I’m doing well 🙂 I participated in the Contemporary-a-thon and in Dewey’s 24 Hour readathon. I had fun during both and I really want to participate in more this year. The Booktube-a-thon later this month is already on my list!

I want to read more diversely.

Since I only set 4 goals, – because I wanted to keep it achievable – this is already the last one. I think it’s a hard one to tell if I achieved it or not. I’m gonna say it’s still in progress as I can still improve in the second half of the year. Technically, I did achieve this though as I’ve read more diversely than last year already.

Did you set any goals this year? How are you doing? What do you think of mine?

I’m really happy with my progress on my 2018 goals! I hope you enjoyed this quick check-up. If you did, would you consider following me? Thanks for reading! See you next time!

Lots of love,
