TBR Unhaul Challenge // Original!

Hey everyone! How are you doing? I hope you’re good.  I’ve been watching a ton of  book unhaul videos recently and that inspired me to create this challenge. Today I’ll be getting rid of some books on my Goodreads TBR through a series of prompts I have come up with. You’re welcome to join me and do the same! I decided to go with my Goodreads TBR, because I don’t have a huge physical TBR. (It currently consists of 1 book!) Of course you could do this with your physical TBR as well or maybe even your entire book collection. Anyway, let’s get into it!

1) A book that’s on your TBR solely because of the cover

For this prompt I went with De Negen Kamers by Peter-Paul Rauwerda. It’s a Dutch book and I have absolutely no idea what it’s about. I find the cover very aesthetically pleasing though.

2) A book you’ll never actually get to

This book could also have fit in the previous category as I think the cover is stunning. Frankly, I don’t really know why this is on my TBR. The synopsis seems only mildly interesting. I’m never going to buy it or read it. Off it goes!

3) A book you lost interest in

Someone recommended me this book after I wrote that I disliked Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy. They said this was kind of the same, but better. Greatful for the suggestion, I quickly added it to my TBR. I’ve lost interest in it however and I know I’ll never read this.

4) A book on your TBR because of the hype

Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore was surrounded by so much hype when it came out that I added it to my TBR. And let’s be honest, also because of that beautiful cover! Anyway, the actual story doesn’t really interest me nor does it seem like my thing.

5) A book you don’t know anything about

I think I saw this book once in a library catalogue and that’s how it ended up on my TBR. Until 5 minutes ago, I had no idea what it was about. NONE. I just read the synopsis and I definitely don’t want to pick it up. It’s going!

6) A sequel that’s on your TBR even though you haven’t read the previous book(s)

I actually don’t have anything for this prompt. I thought I did, but apparently not. This could be a good prompt for you though!

7) A book you heard bad things about and don’t want to read anymore

I’ve heard some people say this is only ‘meh’. I wasn’t that interested to start with. Off it goes!

8) A book you put down and are never going to pick up again

My book for this prompt is without a doubt The Hobbit. I got about a third of the way through and I was soooooooooooooo bored. I will never get through this. I’ve seen the movies, so I know the story anyway.

9) A recommendation you don’t actually want to read

A good friend of mine recommended me this book. It doesn’t attract me though. Historical fiction hasn’t been my jam lately and this seems like it’s going to be unnecessary long. I won’t read it anytime soon.

10) A random book you want to get rid of

This category is for that book or those books you came across while decluttering and want to get rid of as well. Here are mine:

That’s all for this challenge! I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Thanks for doing so!

Will you do this challenge? How did it go?

See you next time! Love,
