Hey everyone! It’s yet again time to wrap the month up. April was a good month for me. I had a lot of fun traveling and hanging out with my friends and I refound my love for blogging. It had been a bit hard to blog in the previous months, but now I love it all over again! I’m also happy with everything I read. Let’s get started!
Month: April 2018
My travels in books!
Last year I started to buy books as travel souvenirs. It seemed more fun than a fridge magnet or a statue. This way I have a souvenir that I still use after the trip. Today I wanted to go over the ones I collected with you!
Down The TBR Hole #3
Hello! How are you? I hope you’re good. Today I’m writing my third Down the TBR hole post. I’ve been enjoying these! The meme was created by Lia @ Lost in a Story! This is how it works:
- Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
My TBR now counts 131 books. Let’s get started!
Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff // action-packed, fast-paced, super enjoyable
Hey! I finished Gemina yesterday and I highly enjoyed it. Today I’m coming at you with a non-spoiler review.
Goodreads blurb:
Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminaecontinues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.
Re-read, Re-write, Burn with my favourite books!
Hey everyone! Today I’m doing something fun. I’ve seen a lot of people do a Re-read, Re-write or Burn post and I think they’re really fun. To spice it up, I’m going to attempt it with my favourite books from the last couple of years. The idea I got from a video Merphy Napier did not so long ago. I’ve written down every book I gave five stars on Goodreads when I read them. I did leave out some books I’ve totally fallen out of love with. I’m blindly picking three books in each round and then I decide what I want to do. So without further ado, let’s get into it! I have a feeling this is going to be a wild ride!

First quarter of 2018 TBR check-up
A quarter of the year has already gone by (oh my god, what??) and you might remember I set myself a TBR for 2018. Today I wanted to check up on my process and tell you what I thought of the books I’ve already read!
This was my TBR:
an amazing trip to London with my friends // Travel
Hey everyone! How are you doing? I came back from London two days ago and it was amazing there! Today I wanted to write and tell you about it! So without further ado, let’s get started! Continue reading
Down the TBR hole #1 // the unpopular opinion edition
I’ve seen this meme going around lately and today I want to attempt it myself. My TBR doesn’t seem as big as most people’s who do this, but nonetheless, I feel that there are a lot of books on there that I’m not interested in anymore. This meme seems perfect to fix the problem!
March Wrap Up // a fun yet busy month
Hey everyone! It’s once again time to wrap up this month’s reading. I had a rather busy month, with exams and all, but I did a lot of fun stuff too! Let’s get started!
