Today I’m setting my TBR for the second round of the Contemporary-a-thon! It’s the first time I’m joining in and I’m really excited to do so! The readathon will be running from Monday, February 12th through Sunday, February 18th and it’s hosted by Chelsea from Chelsea Dolling Reads , Julie from Pages and Pens and Natasha from My Reading Is Odd!
As always my TBR is quite loose and way too big. That way I can pick and choose what I want to read. I’m definitely not going to read all of these. Here are all the possible reads:
Ice Princess by Camilla Läckberg // The Japanese Lover by Isabel Allende // Autoboyography by Christina Lauren // Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan // Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie // Blue is the Warmest Color by Julie Maroh // The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie // George by Alex Gino // Born A Crime by Trevor Noah
There are some challenges too! For most of these I can use several books on my TBR, so I’ll see what happens!
Read the most recent contemporary that you purchased/ acquired.
Last purchased : Autoboyography
Last acquired: Death on the Nile, The Mystery of the Blue Train, Two Boys Kissing, Born a crime, George or Blue is the Warmest Color
Read a contemporary book with pink on the cover.
Autoboyography or Two boys Kissing, but both of these might be a bit of a stretch.
Read a hyped contemporary book.
George, Death on the Nile or Born A Crime
Read a diverse contemporary book.
Two Boys Kissing, Born A Crime, George, Autoboyography or Blue is the Warmest Color
Read a dark/taboo contemporary book.
Ice Princess, Born A Crime and if you consider the LGBTQIAP+ community taboo : Two Boys Kisssing, George, Autoboyography or Blue is The Warmest Color
Read a contemporary(ish) graphic novel.
Blue is the Warmest Color
Read a contemporary book that has been recommended to you.
All of them
Are you joining in? Have you read any of these? Which ones should I prioritize?
I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
