I have seen some negativity in the bookish community lately, especially on Twitter, and to counter that I’ve decided to write this post. I want to spread some more positivity by recommending some awesome Booktubers to all of you! So without further ado, let’s get started!
The first channel I want to recommend is Book Roast by the lovely Gintare. The main reason I love her channel is her humour. She is the only Youtuber who can actually make me laugh! I really like her unboxing videos as it really feels it is her honest opinion. I also love her book diaries. Would most definitely recommend!
Next up is Chelsea and her channel Chelsea Dolling Reads! I love the vibe of her videos. She is enthusiastic, but real at the same time. She reads the books I’m interested in and she can keep me entertained. Those are some of the things I find most important in choosing which Booktubers to follow, because you can’t follow them all, can you?
I discovered Saajid’s channel very recently, but all the videos I’ve seen so far I’ve really enjoyed. He expresses his opinions very clearly. His discussion video about males on Booktube was excellent and I would definitely recommend it! His videos are interesting and I’m looking forward to watching more.
I’m also a fan of Rhiannon’s channel, Crescent Moon Reads. She talks about books I’m interested in myself. I like her personality a lot. She seems very real. Also, she moves her entire bookshelf every time she films a video and if that doesn’t impress you, I don’t know what will. Definitely go check her out!
Jananee is actually the person who inspired this post. I love her channel. First of all, her videos are so bright and colourful. Her content is amazing too. She never fails to hold my attention. I really like her 2 min book reviews. They are long enough to know what she thought, but not too long so that it gets boring. Absolutely go check her out!
Jade’s channel is another one I really love. I’ve been watching her videos for a few months now and I enjoy them all. Again, I love her personality. She talks about the books and topics I’m interested in too. I feel like I’m repeating myself, but I can’t help it if it’s true for everyone on this list, right?
Merphy is another person who never fails to entertain me with her videos. I especially love how clear she is when explaining her opinions, whilst also showing emotions. I really like her personality. On top of that I am interested in the books she talks about and again that’s a plus. Definitely go check her out!
Adriana’s channel is my go-to place for good, diverse recommendations. They are a big advocate for diversity in literature and never fail to boost marginalized authors. I especially love how they are so clear in explaining why they did or didn’t like a book or why I should read it. They always give examples and have clearly thought about what message they want to bring. I admire that.
As for the more popular Booktubers, my favourites are: Cece from Problems of a Booknerd, Lala from Books and Lala, Hailey from Hailey in Bookland and Ariel from Ariel Bisset ! I would highly recommend these channels too.
That’s it for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed it and got some good recommendations. Thanks for reading. See you next time!
