Bout of Books 20 // Day 6 & 7 + Wrap Up

The week of the Bout of Books readathon is now over and I’m really happy with how I did. You can find my TBR and my previous update posts here, here and here. So without further ado, let’s talk about the books I read!

Updates

12000020Day 6

On Saturday I started Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I got about 115 pages into it and I really enjoyed it.

Day 7

On the very last day I finished the book. Ultimately I gave it four out of five stars. As I said, I really enjoyed it. I loved the friendship between Ari and Dante and the slow build of the relationship. You don’t come across that very often in YA. I loved that last chapter. 23395680I loved Dante in general. I related to him in ways I haven’t found many characters to relate to. Even though the story is focused entirely around the characters, it still had a few plot twists I didn’t see coming.

I also started Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I got about 80 pages into it before the clock striked midnight. I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s very different.

Wrap Up

Books Finished : 4
Pages Read : 1332

I’m really happy with my results. I took it kind of low-key so my wrap up is not as big as last month’s Booktube-a-thon. Still I got a good amount read and I’m very pleased with myself.

That’s all for this post. Thanks for reading! See you next time!

Love,
