I’m really happy with my month. I was on vacation the entire time and it was fun and relaxing. I did fun stuff and I loved hanging out with my friends. I ended up reading a total of twelve books / graphic novels this month. I’m really content with that. I finished my Goodreads goal this month! Continue reading
This month I went a bit over the top as far as book shopping goes. My haul consists of 13 books. To be fair, 4 of them only arrived in August and I bought them before, but still, it’s a lot!
Today I’m bringing you my bookshelf tour! I really love to watch / read them myself and I’m really excited to bring you mine! This is how my shelves look now. I organise them by colour, in rainbow order. I just love how beautiful that looks!

I just finished this amazing book and I have so much to talk about! This review will not contain spoilers. So without further ado, let’s jump right in.
Juliet Milagros Palante is leaving the Bronx and headed to Portland, Oregon. She just came out to her family and isn’t sure if her mom will ever speak to her again. But Juliet has a plan, sort of, one that’s going to help her figure out this whole “Puerto Rican lesbian” thing. She’s interning with the author of her favorite book: Harlowe Brisbane, the ultimate authority on feminism, women’s bodies, and other gay-sounding stuff.
Will Juliet be able to figure out her life over the course of one magical summer? Is that even possible? Or is she running away from all the problems that seem too big to handle?
With more questions than answers, Juliet takes on Portland, Harlowe, and most importantly, herself.
This morning I saw someone tweeting about the Bout of Books read-a-thon and on a whim, I decided to join. I’m actually really excited about it! Continue reading
